Services
JonSimon Estate Agents was established in 2008 in Radcliffe by brothers Jon and Simon Morris, and we've been successfully selling and managing properties ever since!
From modest beginnings as a small team of good friends with a shared passion for all things property, we've worked hard to provide our market-led, supportive and somewhat unique service to sellers, landlords and renters all over the local area, and have grown to become a 20-man sales team spread across our three Radcliffe, Ramsbottom and Burnley offices.
At JonSimon Estate Agents, we know that selling your home is one of the most important transactions of our lives.
Especially when you're moving for that career that you've always wanted, or into your first home with your growing family, it's a signal of change - good things are happening and positive things are yet to come.
But moving home usually means selling your old house, apartment, flat or bungalow, and that's where we come in.
For over 10 years, we've been setting the standard for the real estate industry, making the process of selling our clients' homes as simple, easy and stress-free as possible.
At JonSimon Estate Agents, we understand that being a landlord is no walk in the park.
Between property maintenance, finding new tenants and choosing the right government-approved deposit scheme, to organising tenancy agreements, insurance, taxes and rent, there's a lot to take care of, and a lot at stake when it comes to tenant happiness and the profitability of your business portfolio.
Even if you've been in the game for years, you know that things do occasionally slip through the cracks, that unfortunately, can result in reputational damage, loss of tenants and potentially legal action if not dealt with in an efficient manner.
There are many laws, rules and guidelines a landlord must abide by to be able to legally let a property in the UK.
A comprehensive list of your legal obligations as a landlord can be found in The Housing Act 2004 and in the Renting out your property guidance provided by the government.
Both of these resources are packed with information, but may take you some time to read through.
So, the team here at JonSimon Estate Agents have created this concise guide to your legal obligations as a landlord, so you understand everything you need to know.
Are you thinking of becoming a landlord or extending your current roster of buy-to-let houses?
According to the Office for National Statistics, over 4.5 million households within the UK live within the private rented sector (2017).
This is an increase of 63% across a decade - meaning now is as good a time as any to consider becoming a private landlord.
This guide is aimed primarily at new landlords embarking on their first buy-to-let journey.
However, it can also prove to be useful for landlords with previous experience too.
